Welcome to the Southern Counties Pub Guide. This site is intended as a guide to the eateries in the Southern Counties region (by Southern Counties we mean East Sussex, West Sussex, Hampshire and Surrey).
All of our reviews are of pubs that serve more than the average bar snacks and if a pub has the option of separate restaurant or bar menus we always review the restaurant. In an attempt at fairness, a panel of reviewers rather than an individual perform our reviews and the panel votes on the ratings. To avoid pubs from trying to sway our review we do not inform pubs that they are being reviewed. Due to the cost of reviewing a pub (this is a non-profit making site) we are limited to how frequently we can perform reviews, so if a site has not yet been reviewed it simply means that we probably have not got to it yet. However we welcome any recommendation so if you have a suggestion please fill out our Suggest a Pub form. As a continually evolving web site we hope to add new and interesting features. The first of these will be an Events section this will be a list of social events at pubs in the Southern Counties region but for this we need your help. If you know of any theme nights, live bands or other special events at your local pub then you can help by filling out our Add an Event form. |
